Message from Madras High School

Our Teaching Philosophy: 509J preschool provides a stable, safe, nurturing environment where children benefit from both free play and high levels of learning. We will celebrate the uniqueness and individuality of each child. We are committed to partnering with families to ensure every child will flourish and learn. Our program will use the Oregon Learning Guideline standards. Our learning focuses are the development of: Language and social skills, Large and small muscles (gross and fine motor), Number sense and literacy skills. The program will use a balance of play, individual, small group and whole group instruction. Our goal is to prepare preschool students academically and socially so that they can successfully enter kindergarten.
